Good Morning

Here are the Shorties in Three Irish Girls "Olivia" colorway that match the soaker I did last week. This was actually my 3rd attempt to try to not get any pooling and it is the best out of the 3 and I think the best that I can get. I ended up changing the amount of stitches and when that wasn't working - I ended up just changing the needle size and adding a few more stitches.

A trip to the Yarn Shop and a few Projects...

Today I'm at work, but on my lunch I'm heading to the yarn shop. I'm SO excited. First of all, this isn't the place where you bring kids so I could never bring my munchkins there. Whenever I DO go, I leave them with my husband for a "quick" trip. Today - I can take my time. I know exactly what I'm going in for so I'll be grabbing that and then browsing and finally having a chance to see what this shop really has. I can't wait! Is it lunchtime yet??

They're coming to life

This was the shorties as of Friday morning. It's been taking a lot longer to get things done these days so it's so nice to see something start to come together. This is my second week of working full time and trying to balance work, family and the knitting that I love. There is an end in sight though - only 4-6 more weeks of the Full time and I'm back to my regular 2 days a week. Phew...I can't wait :D

Oh...and just to add. These are going to be finished tonight - yay! AND I'm going to the yarn store tomorrow. I wish I could live there...

Soaker

This is the gorgeous "Olivia" colorway from Laines Magnifique. It's all done except for the drawstring. I'm doing up a matching pair of shorties so I'll post the "completely finished" on then!

A few setbacks but they're almost done!

This yarn worked up beautifully on the body but then for some reason decided to pool really bad on the legs. I ended up taking the gusset out twice and finally after the third time starting the legs they didn't pool! I actually ended up doing a completely differant gusset than I normally do but it worked like a charm!

I love love love this colorway! It's definately one of the prettiest that I've had a chance to knit!
